About
We went looking for a place that would meet us in a hard moment without a label, a lecture, or a plan for who we were supposed to become. We could not find it. So we started writing it down.
Kenosis began as notes: the moments we kept returning to, the words that helped, the one small thing that made the next minute easier. Those notes became a library of situations, then a forty-day program, then an app that will arrive on January 1, 2027.
It is an old word for setting down what we are carrying, to make room for something lighter. Not losing anything. Not becoming less. Letting the weight go, so there is room to breathe.
Kenosis is a companion for the moments in between. It is not therapy, medical care, or crisis support, and it never pretends to be. If what you are carrying feels too heavy to hold alone, the people who can help are listed at the bottom of every page.
Who we are
We are building Kenosis because we went looking for it and could not find it. A place that meets you in the moment, without a label, and offers one small thing to do.
